1/48 Eduard Bf109 G-6 Early Version ,W.Nr. 18107, Flown by Uffz. Georg Amon, 7./JG 53, Torazzo Airfield, Sicily, June 1943.

This aircraft was manufactured in April or early May 1943 by the Messerschmitt Regensburg facility. The splotches of RLM 02 grey-green were added to the fuselage sides, that otherwise wore the standard RLM 74 / 75 / 76 camouflage scheme. The exact color of the Ace of Spades emblem hands and legs is not know – we chose blue since Seemann (‘the Sailor’ – Amon´s nickname) used to wear blue clothing. This aircraft was lost on July 3, 1943 while being flown by Uffz. Walter Reinicke.
