The aircraft manufactured by AGO plant in Oschersleben, assigned to Ofw. Hartmann from 9./JG 2 sported the marking in the form of numeral 12 painted in Staffel color. The vertical band behind the fuselage cross indicating the III. Gruppe aircraft was sprayed in the same color. The rudder sported Hartmann victories, eight white bars with British cockades. After the 9. Staffel re-equipment to the more powerful Fw 190A-4 this aircraft was handed over to 8. Staffel JG 2. On November 7th, 1942, Lt. Heribert Hufnagl lost his life flying this aircraft during the combat with four-engine bombers attacking Brest and their escort fighters.
